Mum leaves Tesco in tears after free school meal voucher not accepted

A mum said she was humiliated after being forced to put items back when Tesco would not accept her £50 school meal voucher provided by her children's school.

The mum-of-two was left "crying my eyes out" with no option but to put back almost £50 worth of items from her trolley in front of a large queue at the Tesco store.

The £50 school meal voucher provided by her children's school for the six-week holidays, Stoke on Trent Live reports. she explained: "There was a massive queue at the time, and I was standing there, I felt so gutted. I had to pull some items out of my trolley in front of strangers.
