A mum has been accused of kicking her baby girl across the floor of a supermarket after allegedly being caught shoplifting.
Jamira McDaniel, 23, put her baby on the floor and kicked her so hard in the back the baby slid across the floor and went through a doorway, police say.
The incident happened at the Teterboro Walmart, New Jersey, US.
McDaniel was detained by Walmart security staff on December 13 after they allegedly caught her stealing.
Moonachie Police Lt. Jeff Napolitano told New Jersey 101.5 the baby kicking incident was caught on security cameras.
Footage has been turned over toto Bergen County court but was not yet available for public release.
McDaniel was at the store with her one-year-old baby and the child's aunt.
After the suspect kicked the child, secuirty staff picked the baby up and gave her to the aunt. The police were then called
Napolitano said: "McDaniel, upset by the girl who was now screaming and crying while being held by her aunt, began punching walls and yelling for the baby to stop crying.
"McDaniel also grabbed the baby and began to shake her while she was being held by her aunt."
Cops arrived and an ambulance was called to assess if the baby had been injured.
Thankfully the baby was found to not have been physically harmed.
McDaniel has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, assault, shoplifting, and criminal mischief.
She was sent to Bergen County jail.
The aunt was not charged and the child was given to family members.
Despite children being some of the most vulnerable people in our society, tragically they can be caught up in its violence.

Blu Rolland, from Arkansas, US, died three months ago at his family home in Moro, 70 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee, but his body was only discovered last Friday.
In new documents submitted to Lee County Circuit Court, it is claimed the 28-year-old Ashley Rolland mum told police her boyfriend, Nathan Bridges, allegedly killed her son.
She told officers Bridges held her son's head in a toilet bowl as "punishment" for biting his finger.
The revelation comes after Rolland told police on Saturday her son died in an alleged drowning on September 9.
The mum has since been charged with capital murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, endangering the welfare of a minor, and two counts of permitting child abuse.
Her boyfriend Bridges declined to be interviewed by officers but faces similar charges to Rolland.
Police were also told by the mum Bridges allegedly hit her daughter during his furious outburst in September.
The girl was left with serve burns as he allegedly held her head under hot water "as punishment for her behaviour issues.'
Authorities claim the little girl was able to escape before her brother who died from his horrific injuries.
