Mum in tears as social services take son after husband wrapped him in cling film

A TikTok influencer has claimed her son was taken away by child social services after a video of them playing with him while wrapped in cling film went viral.

Savannah Glembin posted a follow-up video on social media showing her weeping and telling her followers their son, called Gunner, had been taken.

The video shows the boy being pushed around the bed while his arms are pinned to his sides with layer after layer of cling film.

The footage has since been taken down after the TikTok mum, who has 1.1 million followers, was slammed.

In the follow-up video, Ms Glembin said: “Gunner has been taken from us until CPS can evaluate our home because I posted a video of my husband and son playing."

She defended the video as “just a funny thing Hank did because Gunner was getting into the stove that day and tried putting a fork in a socket”.

In the clip the child appears unable to move his arms and looks like he is welling up.

He falls onto his knees, unable to catch himself.

His day, who is seen in military uniform, then places the tightly wrapped toddler face down on the bed before being flipped over onto his back.

Social media users railed against Savannah for the video, with one TikTok user saying: “Cannot feel bad for you here.”

Another said: “Nope sorry. This wasn’t okay.”

In another follow-up video, Savannah said that the authorities had cleared her and her husband of wrongdoing.

She wrote: "CPS cleared us of wrongdoing and determined our home, with us, is a safe one for our son, despite that… a hard lesson was learned, a mistake we will never make again, this weekend was extremely traumatic for us as a family and will be taking time away to heal".

Although many people share details of their personal lives on social media, it doesn't always have the desired consequences.

The mum of a brave girl who had been sharing her alopecia journey on TikTok says she is constantly having to delete vile comments from hateful trolls.

Ghouls on the platform have been inundating Kelly Whitehouse's posts about daughter Aubree's condition, ridiculing the the five-year-old and calling her a "boy".

The mum and daughter have been warming hearts sharing posts on the app about Aubree's battle with the auto-immune condition, which means the youngster suffers frequent hair loss and baldness.

Mum Kelly, from the Black Country, began sharing updates in the hopes of spreading awareness of the condition which affects approximately 400,000 people in the UK, with the youngster quickly becoming a viral sensation.
