Mum hits back after cruel trolls mock her for giving daughter 'boy' name

Children are often taught that if you don't have anything nice to say then it's normally better to say nothing at all. Unfortunately, not all adults follow the advice they hand out, though.

A new mum has been forced to defend herself against trolls after critics mocked the name she gave her baby daughter.

Showing off her little bundle of joy online, TikTok star Camille Munday proudly shared her little one's name with followers. But the reveal was somewhat overshadowed by the harsh responses she received.

Some people were shocked to learn she'd called the youngster Lennon Camille Munday, as they claimed Lennon is a boy's name.

One commenter went so far as to call the mum cruel for wanting to give her daughter that name.

Thankfully, the parent didn't let the naysayers get to her, as she went on to post a video hitting back at the trolls. In the cheeky clip, the mum blew a kiss and patted it on Lennon's bottom as she sang "kiss my a** goodbye".

She shared the follow-up video in response to a comment that read: "Lennon is a boys name".

Another reply said: "I'm confused. Lennon, is that a girls name? I have always thought that was a boys name."

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: "You're giving her a boys name - the world's gone mad, I don't think she will thank you for it."

Thankfully, the tone of the comments has changed in more recent videos, with many praising the 'beautiful' name.

One fan of the moniker said: "I only know girls with that name. I love it," while another supporter replied: "I love her name and she is an absolute doll."

Over a year on since the harsh comments, mum Camille continues to share sweet TikTok videos featuring her little one - and Lennon has sure grown up.

In a recent post, Lennon can be seen watching in delight from her high chair as her mum dances nearby. So, it will be no surprise if the baby girl turns out to be a music lover, something she'll have in common with another well-known Lennon.
