When purchasing a new home, it's inevitable that you might discover some hidden treasures that may have gone unnoticed until further inspection. This happened to one mum named Brittany, who was left elated after stumbling across vintage Disney wallpaper in her home that had been untouched for years.
Deciding to renovate one of the rooms in her house to a new bedroom for her son, she was pleasantly surprised when she discovered the rare find underneath layers of existing wallpaper. Sharing the revelation to popular video app TikTok, Brittany gushed over her find as she captioned the post: "Look at this beauty!"
The mum explained: "So, I'm taking down the wallpaper in this room that's going to be my youngest son's bedroom and I find something vintage behind all of this wallpaper.
"My son is obsessed with Mickey Mouse, so I'm hoping that I can see more."
Having pulled at the existing floral wallpaper above, more of the vintage wallpaper beneath started to unfold.
The wallpaper included sea-themed animations of popular Disney characters, including the likes of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and even Goofy, just to name a few.
"Oh my goodness!" She exclaimed at the discovery. "Maybe we can frame it or something?"
"This is what it looks like right now, I think it's so adorable, I wish there was someway that I could save it."
Taking to the comments of the viral video, which has now exceeded a whopping 6.3 million views to date, TikTokers shared their thoughts on how to preserve the incredible find.
One person gushed: "Aw how lucky, if that’s not the biggest sign that the room was meant for him then idk what is."
"Paint the other complimentary to it and it’s an accent wall," a second added.
"Frame a piece of it," another added, while a fourth said: "I love it. So perfect."
A different user suggested: "Another I would leave it! I'd look for Mickey throughout the years pictures, print them etc, frame them to add all around the room on solid colour walls."
