Mum given just 24 hours to live after being diagnosed with leukaemia while pregnant with sixth child

Friends and family are rallying round a mum-of-six who was given just a day to live after being diagnosed with leukaemia. Carrie Dodds-Hallan, 41, from Blackpool, was diagnosed with acute Myeloid Leukaemia in June while expecting her sixth child, LancsLive reports.

Despite this, on October 3 the brave mum gave birth to her daughter Poppy-May Leia Hallanand got married to partner Shaun four days later. Carrie, who was told by concerned medics on June 26 that she may not survive for more than a day, is now undergoing tests and getting ready to commence another phase of gruelling chemotherapy.
