A mum thought it was such a 'miracle' to discover the perfect outline of an angel in her aubergine that she's kept it in her freezer for 14 years. Maya Rana was making an aubergine curry back in 2008 when she cut up the fruit and found the unmistakable outline running through it.
The 54-year-old said it was around the time she started doing reiki, a Japanese form of energy healing, and when she also became 'obsessed' with angels. The mum-of-two claims that after she started believing in them and became engrossed in their study, she began seeing and hearing them - with one also appearing in her bedroom and a beautiful choir even waking her up one morning.
The bus driver believes that spotting the spiritual being in her dinner is a sign that they're 'with her' and a slice that she 'can't bear to throw away' continues to take pride of place in a tub in her home. Photos captured show the reiki practitioner proudly holding her circular slice with the silhouette of an angel, complete with open wings, which have been carved by the fruit's seeds.
