A mum has been heavily criticised for not allowing her daughter to sleep in the same bed as her wife when visiting the family home.
The grandmother, who enforces the same rule on her son and his partner, saw zero issues with her demands, reports the Daily Record.
However, she faced severe backlash for her traditional stance, when she took to popular forum Reddit to describe the tension when she outlined her demands.

According to the Mirror, the 31-year-old daughter and her 33-year-old wife arranged to visit the parents with their five-year-old son - but were unhappy with the sleeping arrangements.
And when the stand-off led to the couple refusing to sleep over during their visit, the grandmother headed online to ask for opinions - but was met with fierce backlash.
The mother explained to Reddit: "I mentioned I had prepared each of them a different room. One for my daughter, one for daughter-in-law and one for my grandson.
"My daughter said I was being unreasonable and that she wanted to sleep in the same room as her wife. I said I made her brother and his wife do the same thing when they visited and they never complained.
"My daughter told my daughter-in-law to arrange for a hotel. I was really hurt by her decision and said I hoped she'd just stay and it was a few days.
"She said she hadn't slept apart from her wife for the past nine years and wasn't going to start doing that now. They left and stayed at the hotel."
The mother and daughter's relationship has reportedly soured since the incident, as the 60-year-old was criticised heavily in response to her decision. Many even claimed they'd have done the same thing in the situation.
One user wrote: "They are a married couple. Why are you trying to dictate whether or not they sleep next to each other?
"I would've got a hotel if I was them too!"
Another said: "You didn't even give them a valid reason for the decision. Why do you feel the need to control your adult, married children?? Props to your daughter for not giving in to your stupid rules."
And a third added: "Just because your son let you walk all over him and his relationship doesn't mean she has to allow you to do the same."
