It can be super expensive to give a bedroom a complete makeover, but one mum has managed to transform her daughter’s bedroom on a budget.
Sharnene Jewell, 45, a mum of four, wanted to give daughter Amaya a Princess bedroom. To keep costs down, she decided to do the makeover herself using second-hand products and bargains from high street stores, including Matalan and Next.
As reported by LatestDeals.co.uk, Sharnene told money-saving Facebook group DIY On A Budget UK: "Amaya loves dressing up as a princess, so we were thrilled to find a real Disney princess bed for sale second hand for £100 on Gumtree. I thought it would be a nice idea to base the room around the bed and Disney princesses normally live in castles, so it just made sense to do a castle theme.
