Residents living near a Cardiff railway line have complained of loud noise causing "sleepless nights" as work is carried out. Sarah Harrington told WalesOnline that she and neighbours are struggling to sleep as work is carried out on the railway line at Waun-gron Park in the early hours of the morning.
"You go to bed one night and the next thing you know, you've got this big flashing light in your bedroom," Sarah told WalesOnline. "Then there's the horrendous noise where they're either doing work on the line or taking down the trees."
She added that the noise usually starts between 1am and 2am and finishes around 4.30am to 5am. "We're unfortunate as we're quite near the platform, so a lot of the work tends to be down our end of the line," Sarah said.
