Dog poo appears to be an eternal presence when walking just about anywhere - on the path, in the grass, or worst of all, on your shoe. With bags now usually marketed as biodegradable, they're a staple in the pockets of responsible owners of a furry friend.
However dog owner Carina Evans has spoken to The Mirror about her campaign for other countryside residents to stop using all plastic bags as they are bad for the environment. Her "Flick a Poo" campaign encourages owners to consider the impact of using such a bag on the environment.
At Crufts 2023 she told The Mirror: "I’m launching the campaign to shame people that think the habit of leaving poo in a plastic bag dotted around the countryside on branches, gates and fences that belong to other people is okay. Simply put, it’s not okay."
