A mum has been left stumped after her next door neighbour asked her to keep her children indoors on a hot summer's day.
The mum returned from holiday to discover her neighbour has set up a ground floor home office "on the boundary between" their gardens. It used to be a guest bedroom, which was predominantly empty, but now the neighbour is in the room all day, conducting meetings with the window wide open.
This wasn't an issue for the mum because, while it is loud and she can hear "every word" of his meetings, she's aware he can use his home as he pleases. Her 10-year-old son and his friends have continued to play outside in her garden, as they always have in the summer holidays, and were recently sitting at a table playing with Pokemon cards, where they've been "laughing and chatting" but not "shouting or being silly".
