A Wirral mum felt 'baffled' after an object appearing to be a large rocket was filmed flying through the sky over her house.
Emma Cole said she was disturbed by the video footage which showed the unidentified object blasting through the Wirral sky with a large plume of smoke below it. Emma said that her son Jake, 11, managed to film the 'rocket' after he heard a 'rumbling' outside their home at around 6.50pm yesterday ( Friday.)
Emma said: "Jake ran outside after he heard a rumbling in the sky. He managed to film a very short clip on his phone. When I saw the footage I was completely baffled.

"I mean what is that. It looks like a rocket but you tend not to get things like that flying over Eastham."
Emma, who lives on Mill Park Drive, said that she has shown the clip to friends and neighbours. The footage appears to show a large rocket type object travelling straight up.
She said: "We think the object was a good distance away, possibly over several hundred yards. That means the rocket would have been quite big. It just left me a bit concerned actually . I don't like the thought of big rockets flying over residential areas."
Emma said that this type of event was unusual in Eastham. She said: "This is certainly the first time I ever seen a rocket flying over the area. Things like this don't happen around here."
