Mum, 32, wins £3.5m mansion with £10 raffle ticket

A new mum who spent £10 on a house prize draw after her husband forgot to get a ticket has won a £3.5m mansion.

Becca Pott, 32, who is on maternity leave, won the latest Omaze Million Pound House Draw - a stunning five-bedroom house in Ascot.

Becca, a finance analyst, and husband Ben, 32, an accountant, have been married for two years and had their first child Ava last summer.

Ben normally buys a ticket but forgot - and luckily Becca remembered after seeing a TV ad.

The couple currently live in their two-bedroom flat in Leyton, East London, which they bought in 2017.

Their new home is just 10 minutes from Ascot racecourse.

Calling is a 'truly life changing' prize, Becca says the house is incredible .

Becca said: “My husband had entered every Omaze Million Pound House Draw prior to this one, but somehow he’d forgotten to enter on this occasion.

"Luckily I decided to buy a £10 ticket bundle in January without him knowing after seeing the house on television, I’m never going to let him live this down!

“The house is incredible, we’ve been wanting to move to somewhere bigger since our daughter Ava was born, now she’ll be having her first birthday in a mansion!

"We didn’t have space for her grandparents to come and stay in our two-bedroom flat, but now they can have the entire third floor when they visit.

“This win is truly life changing for us, we’ll stay here and enjoy the house for the summer at least, but whatever we decide to do, we know Ava is set for life.

The couple found out they’d scooped the main prize when the team from Omaze paid a surprise visit to their flat.

Ben was in a supermarket at the time so had to rush home to hear the good news.
