Multiple UFO sightings in Irish skies reported to cops over recent years

There have been multiple UFO sightings in Irish skies reported to police in the north in recent years.

The unexplained sightings reported to the PSNI include at least 24 UFOs noted by members of the public since 2016.

The most recent sighting happened in October last year, with the caller claiming to have seen the same UFO on multiple occasions.

It was reported to police by a caller that a UFO had been seen flying from the Belfast direction to Dungannon every evening.

A freedom of information request available on the PSNI website says the force received one reported sighting of a UFO on October 30, 2022, in the Stewartstown area of Dungannon, Belfast Live reports.

The PSNI received eight reports of UFO sightings in 2021, which included a report of a spaceship and flashing lights in the Downpatrick area in January that year.

Another FOI request available on the PSNI website says that between January 2016 and October 2020, there were 15 incidents reported to the police that included the term 'UFO'.

These included a call from Derry where someone believed they saw a "UFO metallic spinning disk" that was later confirmed to be a plane, and another report from the city of someone saying a "UFO was waiting to land in his garden".

Another report involved someone seeing bright lights in the sky over Ormeau Park in Belfast.

Over the past week, there have been reports that four unidentified objects have been shot down over North America, including three incidents in three days across the US and Canada.

The White House has expressed concerns over possible foreign spying fears.

US Senator Jack Bergman said he'd been told by the Department of Defense on Sunday that the military had "decommissioned" another "object" over Lake Michigan-Huron.

In a tweet, he added: "I appreciate the decisive action by our fighter pilots. The American people deserve far more answers than we have."

Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin said: "We’re all interested in exactly what this object was and its purpose."
