Three fire engines were deployed to a Keyworth bungalow when a fire started in its loft. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue says that crews from three fire stations attended the incident on Limetree Close at around 8.15am on Friday, August 26.
Crews remained on the scene for some time, offering fire safety advice following the incident. The one remaining fire engine at the scene left at around 10.40am.
The incident commander was Watch Manager Ashley Fullard, who said: "This was a large fire which we contained to the loft space and all persons were evacuated. Crews have used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

"We had three appliances on the scene, one from West Bridgford and two from London Road, and the cause of the fire is being investigated. Officers remained in the area following the incident to offer fire safety advice to neighbouring properties, including on the installation of smoke alarms."
Nobody was injured as a result of the fire and there was no external damage to the property visible. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue also said that a thermal imaging camera was used by crews when extinguishing the fire and making the property safe.
