Multi-million pound plans to revive Stretford's historic high street given the green light

Plans to revive Stretford's historic high street have been given the green light. King Street - once Stretford's main shopping centre before the mall was built - is set to be transformed with a new market hall, bars, shops and outdoor seating areas in a new pedestrianised square.

A new street - dubbed 'Little King Street' - will also be created. It's hoped it will become home to a range of bars, cafes and restaurants while also providing a space for community events and activities.
