For the second time in a week’s span, Michigan State basketball has came up just short on an elite prospect in the 2025 class.
Five-star shooting guard Darius Adams announced his college decision on Monday and it unfortunately was not in favor of the Spartans. Adams committed to two-time defending national champions UConn over his other two finalists of Michigan State and Tennessee.
Adams ranks as the No. 4 shooting guard in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 19 overall prospect and No. 2 player from Indiana.
Last week, five-star small forward Jalen Haralson also turned down the Spartans, committing to Notre Dame instead. Michigan State is still looking for its first commit in the 2025 class.
