Michigan State will get their first true test of the season on Saturday as they play host to top 10 foe Washington.
The Huskies got the best of the Spartans last year in a non-conference tilt out west, and now Michigan State will host Washington in a revenge game. Both teams enter this matchup with a perfect 2-0 record on the season.

Players to Watch
Here are three players to watch for Michigan State in this matchup against the Huskies:
Michigan State Secondary: There’s not one key player that must play well for the Spartans in the secondary but really the entire unit. This will be arguably the best passing attack and trio of wide receivers that Michigan State will face this year so they’ll have to play well in order for the Spartans to pull the upset.
Nathan Carter (RB): Carter has been impressive in the first two games this year with more than 100 rushing yards in each game. Now he’ll get a tougher challenge against Washington, but this is a unit that isn’t particularly great so this could be an area for the Spartans to take advantage. Carter having a big game against the Huskies will be needed in order to pull the upset.
Noah Kim (QB): Kim doesn’t need to be great for the Spartans to win this game, but he can’t make any critical mistakes. This is a matchup where Michigan State must protect the ball and take advantage of opportunities so that means Kim must be smart with the ball in his first start against an elite team.
