Michigan State football defensive tackle Jacob Slade is considered one of the top linemen in the country entering the 2022 season.
Slade was named to the Lombardi Award preseason watch list on Monday. The Lombardi Award is annually given to college football’s top offensive or defensive lineman.
Slade is coming off his best season yet as a Spartan, finishing with 40 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He is expected to be one of the top defensive players for Michigan State this upcoming season.
Slade has also been selected for the Outland Trophy Watch List and earlier this summer was named a second-team preseason All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
