Michigan State basketball will be hosting a big-time power forward prospect next week for an official visit.
Four-star power forward Cam Ward will reportedly take an official visit to Michigan State next week. According to 247Sports’ insider Justin Thind, Ward will take his official visit on October 3. He had previously planned to visit in September.
Ward ranks as the No. 11 power forward in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He is also ranked as the No. 54 overall prospect and No. 2 player from Maryland in the class.
Michigan State is one of more than 20 programs to offer Ward during his recruiting process. At this point in his recruitment, it appears Ward is down to a handful of schools he’s considering which includes Michigan State, Maryland, Kansas State, Marquette, Florida State, Notre Dame and Alabama.

His visit weekend tentatively aligns w/ a couple other 2025 targets now, as MSU looks to leverage the Izzone Campout as hoops recruiting picks up.
