Michigan State’s win over Ohio State may just go a long way in returning to the NCAA Tournament.
While the Buckeyes have been struggling as of late — losers in 11 of their last 12 games — they still are ranked high in the NET and KenPom rankings. So the Spartans’ convincing road win over Ohio State on Sunday meant Michigan State saw a big boost in each ranking.
According to Kyle Austin of MLive, Michigan State moved up nine spots in the NET rankings to No. 32 and 11 spots in KenPom to No. 30. That is a very sizable jump in both rankings from just one game’s result.
MSU got a big bump in predictive metrics from yesterday's win. Up 9 spots in the NET to No. 32. Up 11 spots in Kenpom to No. 30.
