MUMBAI: The ED has attached NCP Maharashtra junior minister Prajakt Tanpure’s 4.6 acre non-agriculture land worth Rs 7.6 crore and 90 acres belonging to erstwhile Ram Ganesh Gadkari Sugar Mill in control of ex-Congress MLA Ashish Ranjit Deshmukh in a money laundering case connected to the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank fraud, reports VijayV Singh.
The ED alleged that Prajakt’s father, ex-MP Prasad Tanpure, held an influential position in MSCB when it sold the mill to his son’s company at a throwaway price. The ED recorded Prajakt’s statement in December and had questioned Deshmukh.
