Rapidly expanding broadband provider MS3 Networks is widening its reach across the Humber.
Almost 100,000 homes and businesses are to be given access to the Hessle firm’s full fibre network, with work underway on the roll-out.
Speeds of up to one gigabyte are being promised, with the selected technology described as future-proof to handle rate upgrades.

A wholesale only provider, consumers will have packages supplied through several internet service providers.
The first homes are to be connected in August.
MS3 was significantly invested in by Spanish-headquartered Asterion Industrial Partners late last year, with the senior management team immediately bolstered at the Priory Park West headquarters.
Widening of its Hull network was already being brought forward when the deal completed, with more than 500,000 homes now the target.
Sam Hales, sales and marketing director at MS3 Networks, said: “We are extremely excited to be rolling out our ultrafast fibre network in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Cleethorpes, the first cluster of many towns outside of Hull that we will build to across the North of England as we build out our network.
“We firmly believe that our full fibre network will bring significant benefits to the local economy and are confident that our ultrafast services will support residents in many aspects of their lives including work, education and socially.”
MS3, launched in 2012, is using the higher bandwidth XGSPON, an updated standard for passive optical networks. Existing Openreach infrastructure will be used as part of the build, eliminating the need to dig up entire streets in the three areas.
The expansion comes after KCom made the move across the river, adding villages and market towns in North Lincolnshire as part of its £100 million widening of its geographic footprint from the Hull heartland. A second phase is close to announcement.
MS3 has just added specialist TV, gaming and broadband provider Zybre to its network. It was an early adopter of KCom opening up its network.
