Fans of cleaning enthusiast Mrs Hinch love to share advice with one another on genius hacks through their social media accounts.

One user, Alyson Gnessen, wrote on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page: “Does anyone have any good remedies to stop spiders coming in, please? They’re annoying.”

Spiders usually enter homes during September and October in search of a mate and somewhere to nest.
