Air fryers have soared in popularity in recent months and years, due to their low energy use and ability to cook delicious foods using less fat and oil.
That said, air fryers still need to be cleaned. While many households now own one, it is important to know that if an air fryer has food residue left in it, this could impact the taste of any dishes you whip up in the device, as well as poor cooking performance.
And air fryers can be tricky to clean, given the shape and layout of the gadgets.

Thankfully, fans of social media cleaning guru Mrs Hinch think they have found the perfect solution, and it costs less than £2. The same answer was shared repeatedly in a Facebook group, dedicated to fans of the internet star - whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe.
One desperate social media user asked how she could possibly clean her air fryer. The woman said she had "tried everything" including Pink Stuff and regular washing up liquid.
Other Mrs Hinch fans were quick to respond, as one said: "Lemon juice, hot water and bicarbonate of soda. May take a few goes but it works, trust me". A second said: "I use baking soda and a lemon plus hot water. It works every time."
A third added: "What others have said. Make a paste using lemon and bicarb, leave it on for a bit and then wash off. Leaves it spotless!"
Bicarbonate of soda is available to buy from Tesco for £1.39, while single lemons cost around 33p, meaning the hack is affordable, as well as being free of harmful chemicals.
