Mrs Hinch fans share £1 hack to get rid of condensation from windows in the winter

With temperatures set to drop as we head into the winter, households could soon be waking up to water droplets on the inside of their windows.

Condensation can cause a number of problems, including mould around windows and window frames, which can be unpleasant and affect people's health.

With this in mind, fans of cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch, also known as Sophie Hinchcliffe, have shared their top tips for getting rid of condensation, reports Irish Mirror.

Mrs Hinch is a lifestyle and cleaning influencer with more than 4.6 million followers on Instagram.

Inspired by her hacks, fans of hers have created their own Facebook pages dedicated to sharing cleaning tips and tricks with each other, Express reports.

On a social media group, one person asked: “How can I prevent this much condensation? We get it on both bedrooms windows, they’re drenched every morning!

“We wipe the windows every day and crack the windows and have these moisture absorbers, any tips are welcome!”

The most common suggestion from Mrs Hinch fans was to use a dehumidifier, which can be bought for as little as £1 in Poundland.

One person said: “Dehumidifier will help massively.”

Another person replied: "You can buy many sizes of dehumidifier. I would start off with one in a hallway or landing and see if it clears it.

"Although if you have damp in every room are you sure this isn't a structural issue? If your roof or walls aren't watertight a dehumidifier won't solve it."

A third commented: "Invest in a dehumidifier. Unfortunately happens in the winter months on most houses."

Someone else said: "Try not to have big differences in temperature from day to night and invest in a good dehumidifier. I have the electric Q one for a three to five-bedroom house and you will be surprised how much it takes out even when set at low. Solved my problem."

Another person wrote: "I had the same problem so I bought a dehumidifier. It's cheaper to run than having the heating on constantly."
