Mrs Hinch fans praise 'amazing' £1 item for removing stubborn bolognese stains instantly

We all love a spaghetti bolognese dinner, but there are few things worse than trying to get out of your clothes after you've spilled some down yourself. And even if you were careful, there's not much you can do when a child is eating spag bol and has an accident.

But don't worry, fans of the cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch have come to the rescue of a woman who is struggling to get "spag bol and mud" stains out of white leggings.

Taking to the We Love Mrs Hinch Facebook group, where fans of Instagram star Sophie Hinchliffe post their own cleaning hacks and ask for advice, the woman asked: "Does anyone know what else I can use to get these stains out from these white leggings? Spag bol and mud.

"I've tried The Pink Stuff Stain Remover and it said to leave it on for no longer than five minutes and then wash them, so I did. However it's not [come] out, so I've now treated it with [Vanish], but because they've already been washed not sure what else to use?"

Many cleaning-savvy people took to the comments to help her, with several suggesting she just bleach them if they are white.

However, another helpful trick that many suggested was using Elbow Grease spray, a degreaser spray that can be purchased for as little as £1 in some places.

One person said: "Elbow Grease, it's amazing on any stains."

Another agreed, saying: "Elbow Grease is great on stains".

A third explained: "Try Elbow Grease spray. Always got stains especially food stains out of my little girls clothes no problem.

"I spray it on, leave for a bit and pop in the wash, but if it's heavily stained I'll spray it and work in with an old toothbrush, spray again both sides of the stain and pop in the wash."

Other helpful suggestions included leaving the item out in the sunlight to soak up the rays, while others said to use Napisan, which is a product that can remove stains and germs from clothes.
