Taking to popular Facebook group, Cleaning Tips and Tricks, inspired by influencer Mrs Hinch, one woman shared how she is saving money when cooking dinner.
Sharing a photo of baked beans in a dish placed in the oven, she wrote: "I’m not sure if this has been around for years, well I just thought today with gas and heating going up, I decided to put beans in a Pyrex dish and put it in the oven with my food I was cooking to see if they would heat up rather than using extra electric/gas by using the microwave/stove and it worked, beans came out piping hot. Not really cleaning related I know but wanted to share this as I know a lot of people are struggling, I’ll certainly be doing it again."
The post gathered many comments with others sharing their money saving advice and 1.4k likes.
Clarrice replied: "As I am a senior citizen and only have myself to cook for I make sure I cook enough vegetables for two days and plate up two meals that day and the following cover with foil put on fridge and microwave next day."
Anne wrote: "I’ve resurrected my old steamer pan and cook everything I can in the tiers so just using one hob and cooking on low once heated up, glad I didn’t bin it now!"
Rosemary interjected: "Done that forever!"
