Taking to Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, one woman posted a picture of a bottle of Domestos bleach and the spray bottle.
She shared how she's been saving money by diluting bleach rather than buying shop bought spray-but fellow cleaning fans have warned that the solution loses its effectiveness after 24 hours.
The CDC explains how it works here.
The Mrs Hinch fan wrote: "Spray bleach £1. Domestos bleach £1. When my spray bottle is empty. I fill again with Domestos and dilute with tap water.
"Approximately 20 refills from one bottle. Saving £19."
The simple trick has gathered 1.4k likes on Facebook.
Jan replied: "I’ll be doing this from now on- saves a fortune."
"I’ve always done this but use an own brand bleach. It’s a great saving", Tamsin added.
"And saves plastic too!" Another penned.
Nicky said: "Wow that’s a great saving!"
"Never thought of doing this. Thank you," Susan said.
But Jackie warned: "Don't want to burst your bubble but you're not suppose to do this with bleach, unless you're using all the made up solution the same day. It will break down and off the shelf spray bottles have metal parts that will rust with the bleach making it less effective so defeating the object really."
