Mrs Brown’s Boys fans have been left delighted after it was confirmed that the hit BBC comedy would be returning for a fourth mini-series. Despite regular festive episodes, it’s been ten years since a new series was produced.
Filming for the much-anticipated commission, created by Brendan O’Carroll who plays the mischievous matriarch Agnes Brown, will get underway this Spring. Previous episodes have been recorded at BBC Scotland’s Headquarters in Glasgow, but it’s not yet known if this new series will also be shot there.
Speaking of his delight, Brendan O’Carroll said: “This mini-series was actually planned for 2021. Having been thwarted twice, firstly by Covid-19 and then by a post Covid shortage of studios, it’s fantastic to, at last, have the chance to make it happen. Fasten your seatbelts and hold onto your hats!”
