The eight franchise teams in the MPL Philippines Season 18 clash for the league trophy and two seats at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M8 World Championship in Turkey early next year.

Defending champions Team Liquid PH are chasing an unprecedented fifth title, while last season’s runners-up Team Falcons PH are looking to stay in the mix for another international run. Reigning M Series champs Aurora Gaming PH, meanwhile, are raring to return for their world title defense, even as the rest of the league are eager to contend for the M8 slots.

The MPL Philippines Season 18 starts from Aug. 21 and runs until November. Below are the key dates and venues:

  • Group Stage: Aug. 21 to Oct. 11 at the Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City
  • Playoffs: November at a TBA venue

MLBB MPL PH Season 18 format

Matches in MPL PH Season 18 use Map Selection Rules. The Regular Season features a double round-robin format. All matches are best-of-three (BO3), with one point awarded for a win and none for a loss. The top six teams advance to the Playoffs.

Map selection for BO3 matches sees the home team pick Game 1, the away team pick a different map for Game 2, and Game 3 randomly selected from the two remaining maps.

The Playoffs use a hybrid format. The third- to sixth-seeded teams play in a single-elimination Round 1, while the top two seeds receive a bye into the double-elimination Round 2. All matches are best-of-five (BO5) except the lower bracket final and grand final, which are best-of-seven (BO7).

BO5 matches follow a similar map selection system as above, while BO7 matches use a rotating map pool where played maps are removed until all four have been used before the cycle resets.
