Move your body

The intensity of the exercises increases in the V-Core class.

With eight fitness clubs in Thailand, Virgin Active invites people, regardless of age or fitness level, to sweat out under the "Every Move Counts" campaign.

Thailand is one of the eight countries where Virgin Active operates to make exercise irresistible for its members.

The campaign encourages keeping fit through three new 30-minute classes that cater to different needs while adding value to every movement to develop the fitness levels for each individual.

Exercise is about having fun as well, and the Play class involves functional equipment such as VIPR, freeform, suspension, hex dumbbell and kettlebell for participants to develop resilience, strength, speed, power and control.

Play class is about having fun.

The second V-Core class focuses on strengthening the core of the body, which is essential for keeping fit. The class sequence is based on the intensity of each exercise, which will progressively become more challenging in order to help improve the core strength, posture and athletic performance, as well as work on the core muscles including abs, obliques and the lower back.

Beyond fitness, the V-Core class helps support and stabilise the spine, prevent lower back pain, and improve balance, stability and posture.

The Recovery class is more about relaxation, release and regeneration through breathing, both static and dynamic stretching, coupled with various myo- and osteofascial therapy techniques to release and reduce aches and pains.

The relaxation, both physically and mentally, as well as increased mobility are achieved during this class, which emphasises the importance of preparing and recovering the body before and after exercise.

Stretching is part of the Recovery class.

The three signature classes are designed by Virgin Active (Thailand) head coach Jeeraphong Yungyoen, who says: "Don't stop when you are tired, stop when you are done and have fun with it."

Virgin Active Clubs are equipped with a PAC system that helps to control the air quality and humidity level, as well as filter out PM2.5 and small germ particles, ensuring a hygienic environment for members to enjoy the half-hour session or other fitness classes that range from boxing and cycling to Pilates reformer and yoga.
