Moussa Diaby, Gabriel Barbosa and Hugo Ekitike latest as Newcastle United look to offload players

Newcastle United have enjoyed a successful summer so far with three new arrivals bolstering Eddie Howe's Magpies ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

Matt Targett, Nick Pope and Sven Botman have been brought in for a combined total of around £60m ensuring Newcastle 's defence is looking healthy ahead of the new season. However, the club aren't done yet and attacking options are on the way.

Dan Ashworth is hard at work ensuring Newcastle can add firepower to their ranks in the coming weeks, as a host of big names are linked with a move to Tyneside. Bayer Leverkusen flyer Moussa Diaby is a key target for the Magpies hierarchy, despite the German club slapping a substantial price tag on him.

Leeds' Jack Harrison and Watford wide man Ismaila Sarr are two names who have been linked in recent weeks. But a deal for Reims star and French prospect Hugo Ekitike looks dead in the water at this stage. However, you can't rule out Newcastle persuading the teenager to join before the end of the summer.
