A mountain biker with a suspected fractured ankle sparked a three-hour rescue operation near Loch Lomond.
The motorist had been riding through the rocky area of the Whangie on Auchinden Hill when they got into difficulty. Teams from Lomond Mountain Rescue descended to the scene after receiving the alarm at 3.59pm yesterday.
On arrival, it emerged the biker had injured their ankle on very rough ground. The casualty was given pain relief and stretchered down the bill by the crew before being handed over to ambulance crews.
