Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that took place in Dunshaughlin this evening.
A crash occurred between a motorbike and a car at Old Ross Cross Road, Dunshaughlin, shortly after 6pm. The motorcylist, aged in his 50s, was rushed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown but later passed away from his injuries.
The male driver of the car, aged in his 20s, remains uninjured following the incident. A male and female passenger in the car also were escaped injury.

The road remains sealed off to traffic pending an examination. Local diversions are in place.
Gardai are asking anyone with dash cam footage to come forward. People who were travelling on the road between 6pm and 6.45pm with available footage can contact Gardai through Ashbourne Garda station on 01 801 0600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
