Motive remains unclear after 32-year-old is accused of murdering her two best friends

Anila Baby, 32, appeared in a Santa Clara County court after being charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of two mothers in California.
Prosecutors stated that the victims, Ann Mary Mathew and Anjana Hari, were best friends with the accused killer, though a motive has not been publicly identified.
The fatal attacks took place 90 minutes apart on August 28, with Mathew found strangled and stabbed in San Jose and Hari struck by a vehicle in Milpitas.
Police arrested Baby near the Milpitas scene covered in blood, after she allegedly attempted to flee in her vehicle.
Baby is being held without bail and is scheduled to enter a plea in court on November 17.
