Motherwell star Max Johnston is believed to be a summer target for Portuguese giants Sporting CP.
Talented right-back Johnston, 19, who is on the shortlist for PFA Scotland Premiership Goal of the Season, was watched by the Portuguese club while playing for Scotland under-21s at the Pinatar Cup earlier this year, according to the Daily Record.
Sporting are looking to hold talks with the players and his representatives during the summer.
Johnston is out of contract in the summer, but Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell said c ontract offers had been made to several players, and they feel they have done everything they can.
Speculation has linked the son of former Rangers and Hearts star Allan Johston with a move to Italy, Belgium and France, and Motherwell will be due training compensation if he leaves.
