Motherwell have announced that former stars Stevie Hammell and Brian Kerr will take charge of the team for their Premiership opener at St Mirren on Sunday.
The appointments have been made in the wake of Graham Alexander and assistant Chris Lucketti having left the Fir Park club by mutual consent this afternoon.
Motherwell crashed out of the Europa Conference League second qualifying round with a 3-0 aggregate defeat to League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers, which proved to be the last straw for the duo.
Academy director Hammell, 40, spent nearly 20 years at Motherwell as a player, from 1999 to 2006 and again from 2008 to 2018, having spent two years at Southend.
Under-18 coach Kerr, 40, played for Motherwell from 2004 to 2007 and has extensive managerial experience at Albion Rovers and East Kilbride, and was assistant at Partick Thistle under Gary Caldwell.
