Motherwell chief Alan Burrows has confirmed UEFA have knocked back their request to flip the dates of their Europa Conference League debut.
The Fir Park side have been drawn against either Bala Town or Sligo Rovers in the second qualifying round.
As the seeded side, Motherwell are scheduled to play the first leg at home on July 21, with the second leg in either Wales or Ireland on July 28.
However they had asked the governing body to flip those dates as a one-off exception, in order to allow their new pitch an extra week's growth before the competitive action kicks off.
Burrows had advised fans to hold off on booking travel plans, confirming they had applied to UEFA for an exemption.
But writing on Twitter he has now confirmed that request has been denied.
He said: "Confirmation from UEFA that the matches will go ahead as originally scheduled - Fir Park on 21st July and away on 28th July."
