Darragh O'Connor has announced he will leave Motherwell when his contract comes to a close.
The Irishman signed a one-year deal at Fir Park last summer following a spell with Leicester City.
He featured in all of the club's Premier Sports Cup group stage matches last summer before injury hampered the rest of his first six months in ML1.
O'Connor opted to join Queen of the South in January as they sought to survive in the Championship, joining 'Well teammate Max Johnston on loan at Palmerston.
Ultimately the survival bid failed but the 22-year-old impressed during his short stint in Dumfries.
ML1 boss Graham Alexander won't use him next season though with the centre-back stating he's gutted not to be going on Motherwell's Europa Conference League journey following a fifth-placed Premiership finish.
He tweeted: "Disappointed my time at Motherwell has come to an end, I enjoyed my time at the club. Best of luck to the boys next season in Europe. Onto the next adventure!"
O'Connor started his senior career in Ireland with Wexford before a big move to English Premier League side Leicester in 2019.
