If you see people doing some enthusiastic Warping down Grey Street this week, don't be alarmed, they don't think it's still Halloween; they''ll have more than likely just come out seeing The Rocky Horror Show as it arrives in Newcastle.
It's the musical that is known for its audience participation, its fabulous fanbase and iconic songs and, in a change to the cast, a recogniseable face from one of British TV's most popular comedies will play the Narrator, the glorious glue that holds the whole thing together, when Rocky Horror takes up residence at the Theatre Royal.
Stepping into the role taken on by many famous faces over the years is Jackie Clune and she couldn't be more excited. Speaking about her involvement in Rocky Horror, she said: "When the producers asked me to play the Narrator I was thrilled. The Rocky Horror Show is such a unique show. I just thought, I cannot say no to Time Warping up and down the country."
