Mother of rapper Young Thug's child shot and killed aged 31 outside bowling alley

The mother of rapper Young Thug's child has been shot and killed aged 31.

LaKevia Jackson was reportedly shot outside a bowling alley in Atlanta after a fight.

Police were called to Metro Fun Center on Thursday evening after reports that a woman had been shot.

When cops arrived at the scene, Jackson was found dead after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

A local reporter for CBS has said that she has spoken to Jackson's mum about what happened, explaining that Jackson had been attending her best friend's birthday celebrations when the incident occurred.

Her mother claimed that the alleged shooter had lain in wait in the parking lot of the bowling alley for 20 minutes.

Alongside a photo of Jackson, she tweeted: "I just spoke to LaKevia Jackson's mom.She says LaKevia went to her best friends birthday @ bowlingalley,a fight over the bowling ball happened then the suspect waited 20 mins in the parking lot for LaKevia before he shot her while she was leaving. Her mom gave me this pic. @cbs46."

The couple have a 14-year-old son, Kyvion, together.

Twitter users paid tribute to Jackson, with one writing: "This is so tragic, sending love to her family This is also why I stay home and don’t argue with people anymore, even if I’m 100% right. People are not mentally well, wayyy to many situations like these keep popping up."

While another commented: "Yeah I don’t know what this world is coming to when you can get this upset that you can actually kill someone over a bowling ball! Truly sad."

A third wrote: "Prayers for her family and children."
