Most wanted fugitive arrested in Florida over fatal shooting

KaShawn Nicola Roper, 50, was arrested in High Springs, Florida, a day after being added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
Roper was wanted for allegedly fatally shooting Jazmyn Henrion, 23, and wounding another person in Kansas City, Missouri, in August 2020.
She was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon in Missouri, and later with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution by federal officials.
The FBI offered a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to her capture, with 'credible tips' helping High Springs Police locate her.
Witnesses to the 2020 shooting reported that Roper fired into a car during an argument, possibly because she felt the passengers were 'mean-mugging' her or after an item was thrown at her.
