Choosing a name for your child is a hugely important decision as you will want to pick something that you like, but also something that your little one will like as they grow up.

There are some names with ties to Scottish kings and queens too, such as Alexander and Duncan which some may like the meanings behind.
With the Coronation of King Charles III coming up, Random Names has listed some of the most popular Royal names for both boys and girls based off of the most recent National Records of Scotland data.
Unfortunately for Charles, who will officially mark his reign on May 6, the new King's name narrowly missed out on the boys' top five.
Top 10 Scottish Royal boy names
James takes first place with 252 names. It is of Hebrew origin and means "supplanter".
King James VI of Scotland was known for his fear of witches and feared that they had the power to harm him personally.
Top 10 Scottish Royal girl names
Elizabeth takes the first spot as the most popular royal name with 40 names in Scotland.
Scotland’s Mary Queen of Scots was baptised as Mary Elizabeth Stuart and two Queens of England also make this name famous.
A spokesperson from Random Names said: "While many common royal names were on the list, we were surprised to see a variety of less popular and older names, such as Edgar and Anne.
"Though this data is a combination of both English and Scottish monarchs, some names are common and have remained popular choices for hundreds of years while others have lost fame and are only known as royal names."
"This list has a variety of names and meanings, but one thing connects them all together.
"These names are full of history and strength, and will continue to be classic names for the next generations."
