A village where the average house price is more than £786,000 has been named the most expensive in Nottinghamshire and one of the most lavish in the UK.
The leafy conservation village of Colston Bassett, in the south-eastern region of Nottinghamshire, was named in the Telegraph's '54 poshest villages' in Britain list and has been deemed the most expensive in the county.
It is situated in the Rushcliffe borough in the Vale of Belvoir and is noted, rather famously, for being the home of traditional Shropshire and Stilton blue cheeses.
