House prices fluctuate all across Greater Manchester, with some areas known to be much less affordable than others. But despite the cost of a home being lower in some parts of the region, there are some striking homes on the market at the moment in every borough.
From ultra modern apartments near to the city centre, to huge traditional mansions nearer the outskirts, there are a variety of properties boasting beautiful gardens, countless bedrooms and large open-plan living areas that are set to attract the region's richest residents.
With prices ranging from £950,000 to a staggering £5,850,000, we have found the most expensive homes currently up for sale in each of our 10 boroughs.

Bolton
In the borough of Bolton, the most expensive property is a five-bed house in Heaton which is on the market for £2,500,000. Sitting on a large two-acre plot, the beautiful home also boasts a paddock, outbuilding and a barn which has the potential to be converted into a cottage, home gym or office.
The traditional-style family home comes with a grand reception hall, two living rooms, a home office, dining room and a huge open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. Upstairs there is a galleried landing which leads on to the master bedroom with its own dressing room as well as four double bedrooms, each with their own en-suite, and a family bathroom.

Bury
On Ringley Road in Whitefield, which is known as Bury's millionaire row, is a £1,500,000 property which is the priciest in the borough. Overlooking Stand Golf Club, the five-bed home has heaps of space inside and gorgeous grounds surrounding it.

Manchester
This luxury apartment is the most expensive home currently on the market in Manchester. The £2,750,000 pad in Deansgate is a dream property for anyone aspiring to live in one of the city's skyscrapers - and it was once home to former Manchester United player Phil Neville.
The four-bed flat has been on and off the market for more than a decade - and has been subject to various price cuts. The triplex apartment is positioned on the 44th, 45th and 46th floors of the exclusive Beetham Tower.

Wigan
Despite being Greater Manchester's cheapest borough, the most expensive home in Wigan is on the market for £950,000. The detached five-bed property sits on a private and generous plot of land with a sweeping driving leading up to it.
