When the Golden State Warriors lost to the Portland Trail Blazers on Christmas Day in 1984, nobody thought it would be 26 years until the franchise returned to NBA’s festive schedule. It wasn’t until Steph Curry had burst onto the scene as a rookie that Golden State suddenly began to captivate fans around the world.
The Warriors returned to the NBA’s festive schedule in the season of 2010, when Curry was in his sophomore year. Since then, Golden State has been a staple of Christmas Day, making twelve straight appearances. On August 18, the NBA released its schedule for the upcoming season, and of course, the Warriors are scheduled to play on Christmas Day – taking on the Denver Nuggets.
Shortly after the schedule was released, third-year guard Moses Moody took to Twitter to send a hilarious thank-you message to Golden State’s superstar veteran.
