Hamilton striker John-Pierre Tiehi insists he doesn't fear for the club this season because he has full belief the team will come good.
The Frenchman joined Accies on loan from Fulham in August and has netted once in seven appearances so far.
But Accies have recorded similar numbers with one win in eight Championship games, leaving them ninth and just two points off the bottom of the table early on.
Scoring goals has also been an issue for Accies but Tiehi is sure it will all come good, as they look to get back to winning ways at Morton this weekend.
He said: "We do have a winning mentality, we are just not seeing it on the pitch yet. We always want to win and I know we are in a situation where we haven't won for a while, but the atmosphere around the club and in training is always positive.
"We are just trying to do our best and try to turn the bad run into a good run.
"I'm not scared about what could happen because I train with the lads every single day and I know how good they are.
"There is no doubt we will go on a winning run soon.
"If we win this weekend it would gives us more confidence and almost be a fresh start for us.
"One win doesn't mean anything but it can give us belief to do it again and again.
"Obviously the target is to go back up but we know that is going to be tough."
Meanwhile, boss John Rankin says he is not concerned by midweek results for Morton and other close rivals Cove Rangers, which has seen them open up a four point gap from ninth place Accies.
Rankin, whose side lost to Dundee last week and have played one game less, said: "You can look at it two ways. Some people can look at it as the teams directly above us went away from us.
"But I'm looking at it in a different way, in that the teams who are a good bit away from us are getting clawed back, so the pack stays tighter.
"So, in a way, I'm being positive about it.
"I'm thinking that keeps everybody within a certain distance.
"I keep speaking about the players we have still to get back and the strength it will give us when they do, but we have to pick up points.
"I'm not naive. I know what football is all about.
"Points make a big difference but all it can take is two games. Look at Cove, they've won two games and look where it has taken them [from below Accies to sixth].
"It has propelled them and we need to do the same.
"We need to get a win and then build on that.
"It's a case of don't get carried away by looking at th4 league table at either end.
"It's a case of taking care of our business and being competitive and aggressive to go and get points."
