Mortal Kombat: Onslaught is shutting down less than a year after it was launched following layoffs at developer NetherRealm Studios. (Credit: NetherRealm Studios)

The mobile game Mortal Kombat: Onslaught is shutting down less than a year after it was launched following news that NetherRealm Studios was conducting mass layoffs.

The game was originally released in October 2023 but support for it is officially coming to an end. The developers have confirmed that Mortal Kombat: Onslaught will shut down in its anniversary month and will no longer be available for download starting on July 22, 2024.
